Don't mean to get all your heat rates up on a Wednesday, but our Alphabet Soup show is less than a month away! The official dates are October 2 through November 15. Opening night is Friday, October 2.
Since we aren't meeting until September 26, I''ll do a little organizing by email. Later this week, I'll send out a note asking who's in and who's out and if you could let me know how many and what type of pieces you'll be entering, that would help greatly. Also, if you happen to have a photo of your masterpiece, send it my way and it will be used on the postcards and promotional materials.
We'll also need some help hanging the show. I know some of us work during the daytime, when most of the hangings take place, (myself included) but if you would be interested in working on an evening hanging, please speak up and we can schedule one, so the same Sisthars aren't stuck perpetually hanging our shows.
Easy peasy.. you've been working
on your pieces all summer, right? Really, take a deep breath. We've
been working on things all along - we can reprise the blocks (bless
you, Cindy) and our Encylopedia swap (the viewers LOVE looking at those
things), our spontaneous collages. The entries are by no means limited
to what we've done in our sessions... so take a look around, borrow
back that piece you gave your Mom for her birthday, you've got stuff to show.
Oh, and the official title of the show is Alphabet Soup: A Mixed Media Melange
