Okay, if you haven't noticed it at left, there's a poll up for MMM colors. If you'd kindly vote for up to 3 choices, I'll announce the colors by Friday morning, so you know what paints to bring.
Kathy Miller sent me a note about textile mediums/media:
Delta has fabric medium and so does Folk Art. (It may also be called textile medium) You should be able to get it at most places that carry those paints probably Hobby Lobby or Michaels or JoAnns. It may not be right by the acrylics colors but in that same aisle or it may be in the aisle with the regular fabric paint
(Tulip So Soft etc). I haven't bought any in a while since I still have
a few bottles. Hopefully they still carry it.
You brush the medium on just prior to putting the paint on and while
still damp then paint it and you don't heat set it until later after
the acrylic paint
is completely dry. You can heat set it by ironing the back side of
the fabric or do the front side but with a pressing cloth. Don't wash
it for a least a week so it can cure.
So, if you are interested in washing your fabric item, you may want to consider getting some textile medium. Thanks Kathy!
hey, that's me in the corner. MMM - november 07 was my first meeting with the group. I was absolutely giddy to find such a crazy, creative bunch. I'm so thankful for all your energy and talents. Looking forward to Saturday. I might have to teach (but drats the class might cancel, only two people signed up) it's okay if I hope it does, right!?
